Coach Franc Exley

Franc and his two sons reside in beautiful Savannah, GA. They are all accomplished surfers and enjoy any activity that includes H2O. His love for the trades is evident in both sons pursuing a career in the Marine Industry by becoming licensed Outboard Boat Mechanics.

Born and raised in Savannah, GA and prior to turning 16, Franc began working in Port Wentworth, GA at the Savannah Food Sugar Refinery (one of the last to produce commercial sugar in the United States). His employment with Savannah Foods taught him the value of work and kept him in spending money throughout high school and college.

While working for Savannah Food, Franc was introduced to the trade work, where he eventually went on to obtain his Unrestricted HVAC License.

In 1987 he graduated from the University of Georgia’s Business School and then Mercer University’s Law School – focusing on Business and Taxation. For the next several years Franc was fortunate enough to learn and work with some of Savannah’s best law firms.

While working as a law professional, Franc had the opportunity to acquire an HVAC business in Savannah, GA. With some hope, and a lot of faith Franc resigned from his legal profession and jumped feet first into heating and air conditioning. Within a few short years his company grew and expanded into both Savannah and Macon, GA. The growth was through acquisition, organization, and a focus on the numbers.

In 2000 the businesses were sold to a consolidator. Franc then spent several years with an HVAC franchisor and private equity group. When given the opportunity he jump into the Plumbing Industry with a national franchisor/private equity group and become the lead sales trainer, underground and financial instructor for the organization.

The last 24 years he has been working with private equity and other coaching organizations. He has assisted in over 100+ acquisitions and mergers in the HVAC and Plumbing industry. Through his experience he can assist our members in growing their companies through acquisitions in their current trade, or through expansion into other trades.
