Coach Rick Mears

Rick Mears resides in Utah with his wife and (6) children. They are the modern day version of The Brady Bunch with (3) gorgeous daughters and (3) amazing boys. His family has also been blessed with a son-in- law and (2) wonderful grandchildren.
Rick’s wife and adorable children are the primary center piece in his life. Since the family resides in God’s country (Utah), the Mears family are avid outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy 4-wheeling in Moab, “skiing the greatest snow on earth”, hunting, SCUBA diving (all family members are certified), and annual river rafting trips down the Green River.
Rick started his career in the trades industry in 1993 when needing to work while attending the University of Utah. He spent (5) years at the distributor level as he worked his way up through the ranks from delivery driver, to marketing, to outside sales.

While attending college and working in HVAC and plumbing distribution, Rick was offered a Vice President position at an established HVAC mechanical contractor shop specializing primarily in residential new construction. During his tenure Mr. Mears facilitated the growth of a commercial construction division , as well as a viable service division.

In 2001 Mr. Mears began his career in coaching as a business consultant for the Dwyer group which owned and operated Aire Serve and Mr. Rooter franchises throughout the United States. Shortly after beginning his consulting career Rick made a life changing move during a chance meeting with a life-long friend. At the urging of a trusted parent, together they started Alta Air Conditioning and Heating LLC- ultimately growing the business to over 50 employees with locations in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico and Southern California.

After 20 years, and countless memories, Mr. Mears sold his business to the younger generation of family and made the decision to Start Progrexion Coaching Services as a way to give back to an industry that had truly blessed his life. Rick’s outlook on life is simple – “do things that make you happy and life will always be fun – even when it’s tough!”
